About Us

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) Pitt Law Chapter was formed:

To further the objectives of the American Civil Liberties Union

To advance the cause of civil liberties at the University of Pittsburgh and beyond, including the rights of free speech, free press, free assemblage, equality before the law, and other civil liberties.

To take all legitimate action in furtherance and defense of such liberties
